In celebration of Sam's favorite holiday and the fact it's THURSDAY, I thought I'd do this meme from sadelyrate. :)

The first bit has absolutely nothing to do with the fact we hardly have any left over Halloween candy in the house *wipes chocolate from mouth*.  

20 Things About Supernatural I Hold to Be My Own Personal Canon (UberSugarHiCrackalicious Part I)

1. Bobby can repel demons with the top of his head.

 

2. Dean discovers that the exorcism ritual can fit on the palm of his hand if written without any spaces and in lower-case letters.

 

3. John was in Vegas the whole time. 

 

4. Sam's jacket? Yeah, it’s magic (stain proof, fire proof, and able to self-repair punctures). It knows Mary and the YED. Oh, and it’s also Lucifer. 

 

5. Sam never eats when he’s emo, bitchy, annoyed, or thinking. Dean only eats when he’s horny, cocky, excited, or happy. Therefore Sam and Dean never eat at the same time except when crazy glue and Crossroads deals are involved because, you know, crazy glue and coming back from the dead makes both boys horny, cocky, excited, and happy at the same time.

7. After Sam got lost/kidnapped for the fifth time, Dean bought an XXL Big ‘n Tall over-the-shoulder childproof harness with extendable leash.  *points to icon*

19. Sam purposefully falls to the ground on his back, throws himself against walls with crowbars across his throat, and turns his back on possessed lamp cords because he likes violent breathplay with strangers and inanimate objects.

 

20. Despite being his mother’s maiden name and the assurances it was a boy’s name, the YED vowed to change his name as soon as he brought about the apocalypse.

1. To cope, Sam locked Jess away as his past. Madison reminds him of what his present is. When he lets himself hope for a future, Sam’s mind wanders to upstate New York.

 

2. The watch and leather satchel were gifts from Jess, the money clip from John. 

 

3. Sam donated blood. A couple times at Jess’s insistence for the blood drives at school and once to Dean after a hunt. He wonders if he’s not the only one immune to the demonic virus.

 

4. Dean always points his gun down so not to shoot Sam. Sam aims his gun up so he doesn’t accidentally hit Dean.

5. There are other surviving generations hidden in plain sight.

 

6. Like Mary whispered every night before bed, angels are watching over them.

 

7. The abilities were inherent in all of the children, latent until their 22 year to keep them safe until they were old enough to defend themselves … if they’d survived.   They were to be protected at all costs from the others and from themselves. This is why Mary lingered until she saw her son alive and grown.

11. Sometimes Dean secretly wishes he was too young to remember Mary. He longs for the freedom to reinvent her like Sam used to do without reliving the memories of that night.

15. Ruby’s path was hewn by her choices; she was made into what she is by her own hand. She tells herself that remorse is a human emotion.

 

16. There’s a reason why Meg possessed Sam for over a week before contacting Dean. She made sure Sam was awake for the “fun parts”. Sam never speaks of any of it. It’s the darkness he fears is now part of him.

18. Dean will come to believe. Sam will find only doubt.

 

19. Bobby watches Sam closer than Dean knows. He wears the flask of holy water on his belt now.

On a last note: OK, so we all knew about "The Shining" and "Playthings", but am I last the last person on the planet to see "The Ring" (US version 2002) and make the connection between it and "DitW"?!  Holy crap.  Has anyone read any meta on this?
